I’m am a kindergarten teacher at Clear Creek. I’ve been teaching in Clear Lake since 1993. I started teaching in second grade, moved to kindergarten, and then to third grade. In the fall of 2010, I moved back to kindergarten where I am currently teaching.
I was born and raised in Mason City and continue to live there with my family. I am married to my husband, Troy, who is a fifth grade teacher at Clear Creek! We have a beautiful family who has grown up very fast! Our twin girls, Lexis and Mercedes, are 19-years-old and are in their 2nd year at NIACC. Following NIACC, Lexis will be attending UNI to be a secondary math teacher. Mercedes will be headed to the University of Iowa and will be a Communications major. We have a son, Trey, who is a senior in high school. He will be attending NIACC this fall. We also have a cat named Vader and a dog named Carnie.
I love teaching kindergarten! It is amazing how fast they grow, learn, and become independent. I love teaching in Clear Lake and am honored to have the opportunity to work with Clear Lake families!!
