The Iowa Department of Education received a waiver from the USDA that will help families that need to pick up meals for their children. Effective March 26, children do not need to be present when parents or guardians pick up meals. When you pick up meals you will be required to give your child’s name and the school that they attend (or age if not attending school). The emergency food program will launch Tuesday, March 24. Details of the program including routes and times can be found here.

Online learning is rolling out to our students! Information has been communicated to students and parents about the process and expectations. Grades 6-12 began online instruction this week. Clear Creek will begin Monday, and the Preschool will follow. All students in grades TK - 5 have been issued a device to take home. Grades 6-12 already use devices they take home all school year. Go Lions!!
The IHSAA and IGHSAU have suspended all activities, practices, and competitions until April 13. Full details are here.
All district staff members are working together to implement plans to continue to serve our students and families. This is a very fluid situation and we will have more information to share later today or tomorrow after the Governor's press conference this afternoon.
Due to the just released recommendation of Governor Reynolds, the district will be closed for 30 days beginning Monday, March 16.
