The Clear Lake Model UN students participated in the Iowa Youth Symposium on Tuesday, October 21 via Zoom. They took part in three different committees- Birth Registration (political), Vaccine Development and Distribution (science), and Rights of Indigenous Peoples (social). Our students helped to develop a position paper along with five other schools from Iowa.
In other Model UN news: former exchange student, Vraj Gajjar, has started a Model UN club in the city in which he lives so that students in his home country of India can participate in Model UN. The group has grown to 15 schools and 150 participants!
