Registration Steps

Please follow these steps in the order listed to complete your student’s 2019-2020 registration.

    1. If applicable, complete the Application for Free or Reduced Meals (information below).
    2. If applicable, complete the Sports Physical and Medical Registration Forms so you have them to upload during the registration process if possible (information below).
    3. Complete the online registration application.
    4. Review additional information below:
      • School supply lists
      • Transportation
      • School fees
      • Foodservice accounts
      • Notifications
      • Securly (grades 6-12)
      • Booster Club

STEP 1: Application for Free or Reduced Meals

If you would like to apply for free or reduced meals, the application is available within the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Directions for accessing the application can be found here.

Please complete the free and reduced meal application before you complete online registration. If you already have received a letter stating you are approved as free or reduced, do not fill out this application

If you do not have a Parent Portal account or do not remember your username and password, send an email requesting an account or password reset to jchristenson@clearlakeschools.org and include the name and date of birth of your student.

STEP 2: Sports Physical and Medical Registration Forms

Sports physical and medical forms must be completed and signed by the appropriate medical professional. If your student meets any of the following criteria, you will need to complete one or more of the forms for registration.

  • Your student will be in 7-12 grade and will be in athletics. A current physical is required before your student can participate in athletics.
  • Your student uses an EpiPen or inhaler.
  • Your student will take prescription medication while at school.
  • Your student is entering Kindergarten or 9th grade.

Please visit the forms page to download and complete the sports physical and medical forms. Once completed, you will be able to upload them during online registration. If you are not able to upload the forms, you may drop them off at the building office.

STEP 3: Online Registration Application

Returning Students: If your student was previously enrolled in the district, you will use the Returning Student Registration Application/Annual Update in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Directions to complete the Returning Student Registration Application/Annual Update are located in the Parent Help Center.

If you do not have a Parent Portal account or do not remember your username and password, send an email requesting an account or password reset to jchristenson@clearlakeschools.org and include the name and date of birth of your student.

New Students: If you are enrolling a student in the district for the first time, email reghelp@clearlakeschools.org and request a New Student Registration Application link. Directions to complete the New Student Registration are located in the Parent Help Center.

STEP 4: Additional Information

If you wish to receive donated school supplies, please sign-up for a 15-minute time slot in order to meet with Mrs. Puttmann and receive supplies for your student(s).

Transportation

Transportation information including bus routes, bus stops, and bus times will be posted in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal once routing has been completed. A notification will be sent to you by email and posted on our website and Facebook pages when this information is available. Please note that the transportation information for the 2019-2020 school year will not be available in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal until the district sends out the notification.

Beginning with the 2019-2020 school year, postcards with transportation information will no longer be sent out.

School Fees

Fees are not paid during the registration process. Once registration closes, the district will assign fees to your student. Once that has been completed, a notification will be sent to you by email and will be posted on our website and Facebook page. Fees are paid online using the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and directions to pay your fees are located in the Parent Help Center.

Foodservice Account

You may deposit money in your student(s) food service account (breakfast and lunch) at any time. Directions to deposit money in the food service account are located in the Parent Help Center.

District Notifications

Infinite Campus Messenger is used for sending notifications and information out to parents/guardians and students. The types of messages Infinite Campus Messenger sends includes emergency, school cancellations, early dismissals, general information, teacher notifications, behavior notifications, and lunch account notices.

Infinite Campus Messenger is not used for activities and athletics notifications.

You may choose to receive some or all of these alerts by email, text message or phone call. Follow the directions in the Parent Help Center to sign up for alerts.

Athletic and Activity Notifications

District activities and athletics notifications are sent using the RSchool system called Notify Me. In Notify Me, you can set yourself up to receive automatic texts and email notifications for any of the athletics/activities you’re involved with.  Directions to sign up for these notifications are located in the Parent Help Center.

Securly (Grades 6-12)

Clear Lake Middle School and Clear Lake High School use Securly to keep students safe on their school-issued devices. Additional information about Securly can be found in the Parent Help Center. If you are a parent/guardian of a student in grades 6-12, you may sign up for Securly.

Booster Club

If you are interested in buying passes or otherwise supporting the Clear Lake Booster Club, visit the Booster Club webpage for club information.
