Ever struggle with the Infinite Campus portal app? Great news – Campus Student and Campus Parent are web applications designed to replace the existing Campus Portal with a more intuitive and user-friendly experience. Campus Student and Parent were designed to be responsive for use on computers or mobile devices.
Corresponding mobile apps will be released for iOS and Android in the coming months. Eventually, Campus Student and Parent will fully replace the tools and functions available in the Campus Portal.
Eventually, the current Mobile Portal app will be removed in favor of the new Campus Student and Campus Parent apps.
The Campus Portal will exist in parallel to Campus Student & Parent through the 18-19 school year. The Campus Portal will be removed after the 18-19 school year once all Portal tools are available in Campus Student and/or Campus Parent.

Q. What’s the difference between the existing Mobile Portal and the new Campus Student and Campus Parent apps?
Because the new mobile apps are powered by Campus Student and Campus Parent, they include a greater number of tools and functions. Once the mobile apps are released, they will include all of the tools currently available in Campus Student and Campus Parent. As new tools such as Online Payments and Food Service are added to the web applications, they will also be added to the mobile apps.
Q. How do parents and students get access to Campus Student/Parent?
With the release of Campus.1825 in June 2018, the link at the top of the Portal to “Try the new Campus Student/Parent” will be available for all students and parents with Portal accounts. With this release, Campus Student and Campus Parent options are governed using the existing Portal Display Options. Note: for grades to display in Campus Student and Campus Parent, the preference in Grades > Grade Book must be marked.
Q. We use tools in the Portal that aren’t in Campus Student/Parent. Will we lose those tools?
No. The old Campus Portal will not be removed until all Portal tools are available in Campus Student and/or Campus Parent (except Online Assessment). The Campus Portal, Campus Student, and Campus Parent will be available through the 2018-19 school year.
Q. When will Portal tools be available in Campus Student/Parent?
Campus plans to reach feature parity (all tools available in Campus Student/Parent) during the 18-19 school year.
Q. My district has a number of custom tabs in the Portal. Will they be available in Campus Student/Parent?
Custom tabs will be included in Campus Student and/or Parent prior to the removal of the Campus Portal.
Q. My school uses Online Assessment. Will students be able to take Online Assessments through Campus Student?
No. Campus plans to remove Online Assessment after the 18-19 school year. The Portal, where students can take Online Assessments, will not be removed until after the Online Assessment is removed.
An alternative to Online Assessment is the Quick Assessment feature available as part of the Campus Learning premium offering. Campus also supports integration of Naiku Assessments with assignments as part of Campus Learning. Clear Lake Schools uses both Campus Learning and Naiku.
